National Infocomm Club Awards 2009 (Joint Collaboration with Singapore Youth Olympic Games)
The National Infocomm Club Awards was launched in November 2007. Awarded by the Infocomm Authority of Singapore to honour the best clubs in infocomm innovation, the aim is to motivate the Infocomm Clubs to strive for excellence in the area of Infocomm, through projects that benefit the school, society, community or nation. The Awards also provides an avenue for schools to share their best projects, creating a vibrant hub of success stories and learning journeys for all Infocomm Club Schools.
For this year, the theme is 'The Youth Olympic Games & Me'. The final date of submission for completed entry forms is 31 July 2009. For further enquiries, please contact Ms Norhikmah at 6211 1330 or you can email her at norhikmah_sohoi@ida.gov.sg.

Infocomm Clubs Study Trip to Japan (For Upper Secondary Pupils) - 14 June to 21 June 2009
The long-awaited Infocomm Club Study Trip is here again! Infocomm Club is organising a knowledge acquisition trip to Japan this June. During the trip, students will get to visit top Infocomm companies, reputable universities as well as other places of interest in Japan. The objective of the trip to is to expose our club students to the dynamism of the Infocomm Industry, and to inspire them to be part of this vibrant Industry.
For schools who are interested to send their students for this study trip, please fill in the attached registration form and send it to agnes_lye@ida.gov.sg by 15 March 09. As the trip is limited to only 30 students, each school can nominate up to 3 students and the students may be called up for interview if required.

Competition details
- Open to children 12 years of age and below
- Each team will comprise 2-3 members. Members need not be from the same school
- Participants to develop application based on a given theme (to be announced)

Blender 3D Seminar
Global Software Academy (GSA) is organising the Blender 3D Seminar.
Blender is a fully functional 3D modeling/rendering/animation package for Linux/Unix/Windows/BeOS systems. Blender is now an Open Source software. It features functions such as rigging, animation, UV unwrapping, physics and particles, real-time 3D game creation, modeling, rendering, shading, imaging and compositing, and files.
